GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Provide exceptional guest concierge service and welcoming atmosphere. VIP Concierge will meet, greet, and extend assistance for check in / luggage service, spa, food, show reservations along with limo transportation service. Responsible for overall maintenance of the Gold Room or VIP Room including check-in and check-out. Guest requests will be handled in accordance with written process and expedited efficiently.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS : Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills with ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Second language (Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese) preferred. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to multi-task and work under difficult situations. Ability to work in a high energy environment. Knowledge of room types available at the ROW including styles of rooms, views, suites and penthouses along with capacities and amenities pertaining to various room types. Knowledge of player tracking system. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Guests and staff. Stock VIP Guest requests prior to guest check in. Work closely with the front desk, during high occupancy periods. Welcome all guests who enter the Gold Room or VIP Room, while monitoring the qualification of guests who are allowed to utilize the room. Work closely with other departments on a daily basis. Be knowledgeable of all the ROW facilities (restaurants, bars, showroom, and facilities). Recommend our establishment and amenities to our guests. Answer all phone calls professionally (within 3 rings). Work behind the bar as a bartender for VIP guests. Maintain the par levels of guest supplies in the room.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education : High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience : Minimum six (6) months service casino hotel front desk, or Concierge / VIP Room, or bartending experience. Must have excellent communication skills in English both written and verbally. PC skills including familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, LMS programs desired.
Certificate/License : Alcohol Awareness Certified, Gaming Certification, Must be 21 years or older.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated. Constant contact with Guests and staff is necessary.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Requires mobility. Requires constant standing; frequent use of office equipment, computer, calculator, fax machine, copy machine; reaching up to 24 inches. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Requires eye/hand coordination, normal vision range and absence of color blindness. Area where work is performed consistently smoke or in a smoke filled environment.
