Summary:


CNSI is currently looking for a Senior EDI developer resource to join our growing team! You will develop and implement moderate to complex components of an application or program, and maintain and modify applications, programs, or system software. You will be a member of the Managed Services - COTS team and will report directly to the COTS Manager. CNSI supports a high-volume healthcare data system that is accessed through multiple web portals.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Conduct and perform analysis of EDI transactions, document and produce metric reports.

  • Set up EDI processes, test and implement all mandatory EDI mapping.

  • Create relationships with third-party vendors and external clients to implement CORE 270/271, 276/277, and 837/835 claims transactions.

  • Develop and prepare EDI documentation for internal and external use.

  • Managing daily operations of all HIPAA 270/271,837(P/D/I),834, 820, NCPDP,276/277 and 835 transactions and sub-systems application development focused on Java, COTS (i.e. XEServer, XEngine, XEConnect, and Operating rules) and SQL, PL/SQL technologies.

  • Ensuring adherence to application development best practices, guidelines, and processes for implementing custom-developed and packaged solutions.

  • Act as subject matter expert for EDI HIPAA 270/271,837,835,834,820,278,276/277 and NCPDP transactions.

  • Support EDI implementations and maintenance, including onboarding new EDI trading partners, collaborating with existing EDI trading partners, assisting Business Analysts with creating functional specifications, prepare status reports and training material for projects.


Experience Skills Required:



  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience

  • Working knowledge with Java/J2EE, Edifecs XEServer / Specbuilder / XEngine/ XEConnect/ EAM server

  • Familiarity of XML, JMS, SOAP/MIME web services,

  • Understanding of X12, NCPDP, HIPAA 5010 transactions

  • Comprehansion of Relational databases (Oracle preferred with SQL and PL/SQL)

  • Skilled in Cloud-based platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Oracle Cloud and defect management system ex. JIRA, version control system ex. SVN.

  • Certifications in the following would be a plus; Java/J2EE certification, SQL/PLSQL certification, AWS certification You have knowledge of Cloud-based platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Oracle Cloud and defect management system ex. JIRA, version control system ex. SVN "a plus"


  • If you have experience with the Healthcare domain, it would be "a plus".





  • Exposure to working on the Unix/Linux platform, shell scripting.
