Our Supply Chain Management Team supporting our global optical engineering team is looking for an Engineering Sourcing Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity for an individual to develop, evaluate and manage optical and electrical components suppliers and support and recommend vendors for new product development and mass production.

We are open to having someone work remote within California, Washington and Texas.

What You Will Do In Your Role


  • Optical and Electrical Components Sourcing and Procurement to support new product development and manage critical US vendors for production


    • Coordinate the interactions between supply chain, operations, engineering and data analyst to ensure smooth product flow

    • Ensure guaranteed continuity of supply for NPI, scaling & volume-manufacture of complex optical products

    • Ensure vendor quality, score-cards and audits

    • Manage supply chain in response to forecast demands for products in the NPI stage and ensure a smooth transition of parts into volume manufacturing

    • Manage key vendor relationships

    • Develop and recommend suppliers for R&D project

    • Ensure and assist R&D project milestones are met and adhering the approved budget

      The Experience You Will Bring

      Requirements:


      • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Scientific or Technology

      • Experience working in product development environment

      • Experience with electronic hi-tech products

      • Experience in supply chain, vendor management or procurement role

        What Will Put You Ahead


        • Previous experience in Optical Engineering including device design, process development, program management, application engineering and engineering sourcing

        • Knowledge and experience with optical components, sub-systems and systems market for Telecommunication and Datacenter applications

        • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
