RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps.

Summary:
This role will be remote to start, but candidates will eventually be on-site in San Jose, San Francisco, or Rocklin, CA . Relocation expectation in 2022 with notice. This is a long-term contract role that will start ASAP, 6 months to start with intended extension based on performance with potential contract to hire. This role is a Python/Groovy Software Engineer, focused on DevOps (not just a System Engineer who can code as a secondary). The Senior Software Engineer will design and support data networks for WSI data centers, corporate facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, call centers, and eCommerce environment. The Senior Software Engineer will also design, develop, implement, and support network solutions for IT projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of relevant DevOps experience


• Docker and Kubernetes stack expertise


• Experience using Helm/Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments


• Jenkins and Jenkins Pipeline expertise


• Programming expertise in Groovy, Python, shell, and/or Java


• Experience with Maven


• Git and GitHub Enterprise expertise


• Node/npm experience


• Expertise interpreting Java stack trace and Node error logs


• Deep experience managing complex Jenkins declarative Pipelines using shared code


• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm for packaging


• Experience with writing custom apps/apis in Python or other languages for tooling


• Can build a stand-alone python flask app, but focused on DevOps
