Job Description:

The Sr. Credit Manager leads the Credit and Collections department and is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization’s credit and collections activities. S/he is a key contributor to the Company’s execution on revenue growth strategies while appropriately managing credit risk and maintaining world-class DSO and delinquency metrics. The Sr. Credit Manager:


  • Maintains oversight of all Accounts Receivable, including direct management of past due or problem accounts.

  • Supervises team of Credit Analysts and Credit Supervisors.

  • Informs Management and Commercial teams of collection activities to provide insight on current customer relations and assist in effective working capital management.

  • Assures timely availability of credit service for the Commercial

  • Consults with the Commercial team on contract terms and international Letters of Credit.

  • Collaborates with the Invoicing department to ensure customers receive invoices in a timely manner.

  • Renders credit decisions after thorough review of financial statements, credit applications, credit agency reports, business plans and anything else deemed necessary.

  • Prepares/analyzes various statistical and financial reports to establish KPIs and measure performance of the Credit and Collections function.

  • Coordinates with the Corporate Treasury department regarding maintenance of accounts with financial institutions.

  • Maintains and updates customer credit files and credit limits.

  • Provides support for audit requests pertaining to revenue transactions, accounts receivable and compliance with the Company’s customer credit policies.

  • Contributes to special projects, process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc requests as needed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements to achieve operational efficiencies and advance key performance metrics. Additional qualifications include:


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other applicable major

  • 5+ years credit management and collections experience, including supervision of a collections team (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

  • Thorough knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis

  • Strong business acumen in credit risk management, industry practices and emerging trends

  • Results-driven approach with ability to operate under high degree of autonomy in making decisions and implementing change

  • Exceptional management, organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
