Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Supervises warehouse personnel and operations, including deliveries, inventory levels, scheduling and walk-in sales. Required to load and unload trucks. Must be able to organize routes for delivery and deliver feed, seed, farm supplies, etc. to customers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Stocking and tracking inventory, arranging warehouse and minimizing inventory shrink.

2. Scheduling shipments for delivery and receiving inventory.

3. Reporting to and collecting from truck lines for materials damaged in delivery.

4. Supervising any delivery personnel and tracking their hours.

5. Administer payroll time reports.

6. Handling walk-in sales.

7. Assist in taking inventory.

8. Oversee the maintenance on all vehicles assigned to that warehouse, their licensing and fuel tax reporting. All equipment is to be safe and roadworthy.

9. Must become proficient as a spreader/sprayer applicator.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school education.

Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Hand coordination to use computer. May require a valid drivers license. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions.
