Starbucks Assistant Manager Responsible for the supervision of the Starbucks outlet, in accordance with hotel and Starbucks standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to the team of baristas.

What you will be doing:
Maintain and keep up-to-date with all incoming emails from Corporate Starbucks about current/upcoming promotions and new products
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Recognize and reinforces individual and team accomplishments
Train team members of processes, procedures and product knowledge
Ensure proper cash management practices are followed
Participate in inventory and ordering
Establish par levels for supplies and equipment
Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business
Inspect outlet, check for cleanliness, and rectify deficiencies with respective personnel
Follow performance management processes
Assign work duties and coordinate breaks for staff
Other tasks or projects as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
Previous experience in supervisory role
Previous experience as barista an asset, and preferably with Starbucks
Advanced Store Training Certified by District Manager an asset
Certified Barista Trainer an asset
Food handling certificate required
Ability to compute basic arithmetic
Able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Proven ability to resolve guest concerns
Highly responsible, reliable & dependable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
Constant standing and walking
Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 40 pounds)
Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Frequent bending and reaching
Reach 2 to 4 feet
Remain in stationary position for 4 to 6 hours throughout work shift
