Summary/Department goals: Automation developer for testing services to create the base object definitions for BCBSMA applications. Through the process of defining application objects for test automation, the intern will become familiar with many aspects of user interface testing, automation practices, testing processes, and development standards. Work with Automation Sr Architects and Engineers at the state's largest insurer, the intern will gain exposure to strategic planning and implementation for large scale efforts.

Job Description:

Candidate will be:

• Using development tools to define the screen objects and read/write actions for each screen/field. These screens object definitions will be used by test automation developers to create tests.


• Testing test framework and harness changes


• Testing training and knowledge articles

Key Responsibilities:

• Create page/screen object methods


• Create page/screen object action methods


• Maintain coding standards and asset management best practice


• Provide documentation on added/changed code packages

Skills/Capabilities:

• Ability to code in Java,


• Ability to implement Java Doc annotation,


• Ability to manage code in a Git repository,


• Ability to use the Eclipse IDE,


• Ability to learn how to document code availability using existing templates,


• Able to learn to and record tasks in Jira
