Position Summary:

Provide expertise for design and support of Enterprise Infrastructure systems. Manage one of our server operating systems or collaboration platforms, including system availability, administration, operational processes, patching, maintaining technical currency, vendor management, capacity management, and best practices across the enterprise.

Ensure the seamless integration and synchronization of business applications, security, and infrastructure technologies.

Responsible for the planning and designing of servers operating system, system software, including installation and upgrades, tuning, structure, documentation, 24x7 operational support, process maintenance, change and incident management, and security/data protection.

Provide guidance in the development of infrastructure requirements with business, architecture group, and solution teams. Communicate within project teams to set deliverables and expectations (time/resource requirements). Participate in the introduction of new/incoming technology projects into production.

Responsible for production support, design, planning, implementation, functional testing, troubleshooting, and protection of BCBSMA corporate assets. Involves proactive monitoring of systems to support both existing and new applications. Includes security/performance monitoring, configuration management, issue escalation and resolution, systems engineering, administration, security documentation, and understanding strategic technical planning.

Work closely with Architects, Developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers sharing technical expertise in one or two server operating systems and/or storage platforms.

Provide research and analysis of Active Directory environment.

Standard level Windows Server Administration.

Work closely with Windows team manager and engineers, actively participating in the documentation of set permissions for all organizational units within the Active Directory tree.

Responsible for delivery of final reporting on the Active Directory mapping that will be used to green field our directory structure and harden our security footprint.

Qualifications (knowledge/skills/abilities/behaviors):


  • Strong level of understanding Active Directory, in particular Organizational Unit permissioning and inheritance

  • Windows server administration

  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365 administration a plus

  • Security and Network knowledge

  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or its equivalent)
