JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist Indirect Materials (Americas) has regional responsibility of strategic sourcing of indirect goods and services: professional services, facility- and real estate services including property/equipment rental/leasing, IT, Marketing, MRO etc.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Strategic Sourcie Specialist Indirect Materials (Americas) is part of the Americas Purchasing team, reports to the Manger, Purchasing Americas and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional responsibility of strategic sourcing of indirect goods and services: professional services, facility- and real estate services including property/equipment rental/leasing, IT, Marketing, MRO etc.
Responsible for the definition and execution of the regional/global indirect sourcing strategy in line with the global strategy
Establishing indirect procurement in the region
Partner with internal customers to identify and understand current and future business needs
Ensure and lead the global procurement process of competitive bidding (RFI, RFP)
Lead vendor negotiations and contracting
Analyze spend data, create management reporting
Identification and realisation of cost reduction potentials for sustainable cost management
Ongoing analysis and assessment of the procurement markets and development of supplier relationships
REQUIREMENTS
University Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar
Minimum 5 years indirect sourcing experience within an international business environment and matrix organisation
Sound knowledge of sourcing processes (RFx) and leading contract negotiations
Strong project – and change management experience
Experience working independently, taking on responsibility for procurement strategy across all levels of assigned organization
Sourcing category experience in professional- and facility- and real estate services
Readiness to travel (ca. 10%)
Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication and networking skills.
Must be a fact-based decision maker, pragmatic, resourceful, and proactive.
