In this role, you will be responsible for development of strategic infrastructure planning in support of the organizations business objectives. You will manage construction and renovation projects and identify standard specifications for building systems and project methodology. The Facilities Planning Project Administrator is also responsible for the administration, development and coordination of budgeting, scheduling, design, and bidding for renovation and new construction projects.

• Administration of Facilities Planning renovation and construction projects through, planning, cost control, budgeting, and scheduling for new and existing facilities. Conduct site inspections and validates work is in accordance with plans & specifications. Review pay applications and all work performed meet plan and specification requirements.


• Develops contracts, specifications, and purchase orders. Provide direction in the administration of contractual obligations to ensure compliance to disbursement of funds relative to those agreements


• Provide direction and administer relevant aspects of design development, programming, and administration. Ensure drawings are conceptually accurate and meet corporate needs


• Communicate / Negotiate with each governing jurisdiction as it relates to building regulations/codes as well as ADA compliance measures. 

We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds and a disciplined work ethic. To bering the future to Honda as a Facilities Planning Project Administrator, you must have: 

• High school diploma, Bachelor's degree desirable, or equivalent of 5+ years’ work experience in the field of facility and/or construction administration.


• Extended coursework in the areas of construction management and architectural design are a plus. 


• Equivalent of 3+ years in the field of facility construction management and administration with responsibilities of orchestrating, supporting, and implementing corporate standards specifically in the areas of facilities/construction administration, planning/budgeting, bids/specifications review and sourcing contractors for projects in excess of $1 million.


• Knowledge in relevant aspects of facilities construction and tenant improvements.


• Proficiency in local/state building codes/regulations and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.


• Proficient personal computer and CAD skills with added emphasis in construction management, cost accounting and project scheduling software -- ability to read and understand blueprints is required.


• Training in the areas of facility management, architectural design, and procurement techniques
