Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. This role reports to the Quality Manager at our plant in Everett, Washington and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Onamac team, working closely with the team to maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products within the manufacturing environment. Major Responsibilities
Approved incoming material by confirming specification, conducting visual and measurement test, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing order, processes appropriate rejection documentation if necessary, and performs move function in MRP system.
Verifies dimensional conformance of manufactured & purchased products.
Verifies physical appearance of product prior to chemical processing for conformance of engineering specifications.
Reviews outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish; verifies physical appearance of final product for conformance to engineering specifications.
Audits procedures and processes of shop inspection.
Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality position or aerospace manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to read aerospace mechanical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of AS9100 Quality system requirements and the corrective action process.
Familiarity with ASME Y-14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Able to use electronic equipment such as an optical comparator and a manual CMM.
Able to analyze surface roughness with a profilometer and visual methods.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
