Position drives Contractor Division commodity growth strategies. Primarily focused on quoting wire, cable, and conduit. Act as the point person for our sales team for assisting with any wire/conduit quotes. Support Material Management team with pricing, inventory and product recommendations. Work closely with Commodity Project Manager to ensure a smooth transition from quoting stage all the way to delivery of the product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate, guide, and prepare quotations on commodity bill of materials
Work with sales teams to book orders based on market feedback, customer needs, and vendor support
Conduct extensive research prior to submitting quotation based on product specification and manufacturing alternatives
Perform ongoing analysis of competitor's products, services, and pricing in the market in an effort to uncover strategic opportunities that will enhance our ability to book commodity business and stay competitively priced
Work closely with key vendors to obtain quick turn around on pricing to meet customer deadline
Collaborate with Material Management team in the areas of purchasing, pricing, product and inventory
Provide backup and assistance with all project management and the Commodity Project Manager
Other duties and/or projects as assigned
