Job Description:

BRG is seeking a full-time, highly experienced Billing Specialist for its Corporate Billing Department. Current professional service or legal billing experience is required. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of full-charge client billing.

The Billing Specialist reports directly to the Corporate Finance Portfolio Manager and is responsible for providing outstanding service to the Firm’s personnel, clients, and subcontractors. Qualified candidate must be very flexible, highly committed to exceptional quality and accuracy, high level customer service, teamwork, and supporting Firm and department goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties will include but are not limited to:


  • Client contract review and matter set up upon project activation.

  • Maintain and update project listing spreadsheet, client billing information, and project budget in ERP system.

  • Generate client invoices for consulting staff under a T&M, Fixed Fee, Not to Exceed, and other complex billing arrangements.

  • Work with project lead to resolve any billing issues and coordinate with Manager and Accounting department

  • Review daily wire/ACH payments and coordinate with Cash Application team to apply payment appropriately

  • Work with project lead regarding any outstanding A/R balances and communicate closely with A/R department

  • Export various project reports out of SQL and format for professional staff

  • Assist as needed in guiding and supporting other billing staff once trained and qualified.

  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested by professional staff

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1-2 years billing experience in a consulting or professional services organization required.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)

  • Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills, and high attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to juggle/manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment, often under strict deadlines.

  • Actively participate in a team environment.

  • Committed to high quality customer service (internal and external).

  • Consistent attendance and reliability.

  • Elite 3E experience preferred, or other similar large ERP software.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

  • Bankruptcy experience preferred.
