Procurement Specialist

Location: Woburn, MA

What you’ll do:

As a procurement specialist at BioProcure, each day will present new challenges and unique opportunities to serve others.  You will be in constant communication with vendors, clients, and team members.  In this fast-paced environment, each procurement specialist’s contributions are vital to the success of the organization as a whole.  You are valuable and important!

On an average day, a procurement specialist:


  • Completes their daily orders with accuracy, integrity, and close attention to detail

  • Manages their time well to ensure that the most critical orders are processed for timely delivery

  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients and suppliers through friendly and efficient phone calls and emails

  • Works with supplier sales reps to get special deals and discounted pricing on applicable orders

  • Follows up with clients to clarify any order related questions before placing orders with suppliers

  • Follows up with suppliers to confirm order delivery dates and pricing, and to obtain order confirmations

  • Responds as quickly as possible to any customer requests via ticket system

  • Researches, resolves, and follows up on issues promptly

Who we’re looking for:

For this entry level position, we will train candidates with the following attributes:


  • At least 1 year of customer service experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced/changing environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to cooperate and work together as part of a team

  • The ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues

  • The ability to learn new programs and software applications

  • A flexible, dependable, and teachable personality

  • A positive, can-do attitude

  • Purchasing experience a plus, but not required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
