The Schedule

  • Starting Pay for this is $25 and up depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:



  • ​​​​​​​The Quality Assurance Technician will facilitate and assist in the Quality Assurance, document control, safety functions at the plant and daily quality SAP (centralized enterprise management system)




  • Support Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations




  • Manage the schedule of Quality Assurance Technicians




  • Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians




  • Involved as a final check before a product goes out the door; they are also responsible for verifying the quality of the basic materials received (as using a flawed material in the production process will inevitably result in a flawed product) as well as every step in the manufacturing process.




  • Proactive bring any quality issues to the attention of whoever oversees that manufacturing step, and make sure it gets fixed before too many items are produced with a given flaw. They need a keen eye for detail and will use many finely calibrated tools to perform their duties, such as micrometers, inspection lamps and highly accurate scales.




  • Responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality.




  • Prepare Certification of Compliance as requested




  • Inspect products during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale. Inspect and tag finished product  




  • Compare product with customer specifications




  • Document control management process. Document information on work orders & Make decision on product status, and mark the type of defect if applicable




  • Test incoming raw material and conduit, and record the date




  • Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job




  • SAP daily movements, transactions, and system management. Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required  




  • Perform all other tasks and projects as assigned or required




  • Quality Laboratory Scheduling and Management




  • TL900 (ISO) Plant setup and preparation through internal audits 




  • Displays attention to detail necessary to ensure quality products are being produced



Requirements:


  • 2-3+ year experience working in Quality control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment that is interested or has a passion for quality

  • Some knowledge of corrective actions, root cause, inspections is desirable in an industrial/manufacturing environment and/or inside quality control laboratory 

  • Ability to proactively check that the final product meets customer specifications and to catch any basic abnormalities

  • Lean manufacturing, Continuous improvement Background

  • Perform 5S activities which involves the cleanliness, organization, and standardization of work area

  • Data management & data integrity

  • Completes appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions 

  • Create and follow checklist & instructions

  • Quality Laboratory Scheduling and Management

  • Document information on work orders

  • Manage & Record all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).

  • Experience drafting reports and collecting data.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.

  • Some management/supervisor/lead experience (~1 years)

  • Training new employees, Can mentor and teach colleagues with less experience, Training new employees

  • Problem solving skills, using root cause analysis

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

  • Effective written and verbal Communication

  • Active listening skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Able to make quick decision on product status, and mark the type of defect if applicable
