POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Engineer will collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues; this position is on the front line to aid in avoiding and solving technical problems that arise. The PE will also lead our quality control efforts onsite. This includes document review during preconstruction to commissioning and punch list.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpretation of construction documents and technical manuals
Use the latest technology in their work. Laser digital scanning, BIM and Bluebeam document management are some of the tool s in broad use on our projects
Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklists
Receiving and distributing requests for information and change documents issued by other offices
Organization and filing of record documents
Field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks
Information storage and retrieval using computer
Technical advisor at onsite field construction office
Ability to access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review
Responding to Requests For Information
Lifting and carrying of documents and survey equipment up to 40 pounds.
Ability to relocate.

Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience required
Education background in materials and methods of construction
Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system for construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must be able to work closely with owners, architects, engineers and subs
Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential and being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
Skilled in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress.
Training in design document reading , design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
Proficient in the following programs: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook), Prolog, Procore, E-Builder laser digital Scanning, Building Information Model (BIM), Autocad, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Suretrack Project Manager, and Primavera Project Planner (P6)
