The Team:Our Franchise Finance team supports the In-Licensing business at Mattel. We work across the organization and communicate performance across business partners and to the leadership team.


The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Franchise Finance In-Licensing team in El Segundo, CA. You will play a critical role in working cross-functionally with teams across the organization to help deliver both top line and bottom line objectives, while strengthening Mattel's reputation as a partner of choice with licensors across the globe.

What Your Impact Will Be:


  • Partner with Corporate Development and brand teams by performing key financial analysis to assess profitability of potential licensed opportunities

  • Coordinate with Commercial teams quarterly to develop sales and royalty forecasts for key licensed partners

  • Assist in development of in-licensing strategy through in-depth P&L analysis of existing deal performance

  • Analyze and summarize financial results for in-licensing business against the plan, forecasts, and prior results

  • Develop and improve upon recurring reporting processes and assist in KPI preparation

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis of in-licensing business as needed


What We're Looking For:


  • BS/BA required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • 3-5+ years' experience in financial/P&L analysis

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new/multiple financial systems

  • Hyperion Planning, Anaplan, and Tableau experience preferred

  • Experience in consumer products, licensing and/or entertainment a plus

  • Proactive, high energy and detail/results-oriented

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
