Executive Associate Provost for Strategy & Operations - 21002051 Description
The Office of the Provost is responsible for setting and guiding institutional and budgetary priorities that advance the University's academic mission. Together with Provosts and senior administrators, the Provost directs and supports the partnerships, collaborations and planning initiatives on three Massachusetts campuses and an international center in Talloires, France. This team of academic leaders ensures that educational and research programs are of the highest quality by working closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and students to fulfill the University's goals and aspirations. The Office of the Provost is also responsible for the library system, international and industry collaborations and the ten Boards of Advisors.
The Executive Associate Provost for Strategy and Operations serves as a senior advisor and thought partner to the Provost and Senior Vice President. Oversees planning, implementation, communication, and evaluation of provostial strategic initiatives. Responsible for Provost Office operations.
Specifically, the role:
Directs large, complex, university-wide, or interdepartmental projects or programs on behalf of the Provost which have strategic importance and significant impact.
Directs the executive office workflow, including developing and maintaining a process to regularly update the Provost on projects and initiatives that support key goals and working with senior staff to align actions and communication in support of agreed upon goals.
Works closely with the administrative team to establish efficient office operations and ensure steady operational processes.
Researches and drafts executive-level materials (briefs, communications, presentations, reports, etc.) for the Provost and other audiences.
Participates in executive-level meetings with or on behalf of the Provost and serves as a primary spokesperson for the Provost.
Coordinates efforts with the Office of the President, schools and other key units across the university.
