PRIMARY FUNCTION: Qualified candidates will have the knowledge to set up and run SMT machines including Screener, SMT and Reflow. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: SMT Machine Operator must be able to load software, set up, optimize and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines used in the production of the company's product. Works from process sheets, drawings or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances and adjusts as necessary. Additional Responsibilities: - General understanding of solder paste and its properties - Understand component specifications including ESD, polarity and package definition. - SMT set-up and operation including loading software/components using bill of materials. - Candidates will be inspecting circuit boards using a microscope and adjusting machine placements as necessary. - Candidates will expected to occasionally work overtime as needed.
