Job Summary:

The Department of Physical Education/Athletics invites applications for a three-year appointment as Head Coach for Softball beginning December 15, 2021. Assistant Professor (Master's degree) preferred; Instructor (Master's in progress) or Associate Professor possible. Research and teaching interests might include, but are not limited to: sports management and sports administration, sport psychology, sport sociology, coaching methods, women in sport, and recreation and wellness courses. The work responsibilities are Head Coach of Softball, assisting in a second sport, and teaching up to four credits in the Physical Education curriculum.Additional information about our curriculum and faculty can be found at http://pioneers.grinnell.edu/.



Minimum Qualifications:

Softball coaching experience, presentation of a recruiting plan applicable to targeting and matriculating high-achieving student-athletes, demonstrated support of diversity, equity and inclusion, and the ability to teach in the Physical Education department.


Preferred Qualifications:

Assistant Professor (Master's degree) preferred; Instructor (Master's in progress) or Associate Professor possible
