Dendreon has been working in the cellular immunotherapy space for over 10 years and brings all the experiences that comes with developing a complex manufacturing process from clinical development through to consistent commercial production. Dendreon is unmatched in its patient logistics/operational functions, manufacturing excellence in cellular therapies and commercial sales team for cellular immunotherapies. Job Summary: The Receptionist is the ambassador of the company, the first point of contact for guests and provides exceptional customer service at all times. The Receptionist will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business as well as coordinate front-desk activities including providing information, security and badging control and related tasks. This position will also on occasion support both the HR Manager and Executive Assistant.

Responsibilities


  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the 4 th Floor Reception Desk.

  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.

  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary supplies.

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via computerized program, sign-in logs and assure that all keys and badges are secure and accounted for.

  • Catering delivery, special event assistance and set-up.

  • Communicate effectively with building management and building security during Fire Drills, scheduled building maintenance, and unexpected events.

  • May assist with employee terminations, standing by to escort when needed.

  • Maintain complete confidentiality at all times.

  • Other clerical receptionist duties as assigned.



Qualifications


  • High School Diploma required

  • 3+ years related experience required

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

  • Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas

  • Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities

  • Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities;

  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person

  • Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment, and regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
