This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving Talent Acquisition team at Alexion and be a trusted and visible talent advisor and business partner to hiring managers, hiring teams and business leaders. In this critical role, the Recruiter Partner will partner with Talent Acquisition Leads, recruiting colleagues, Talent Discovery (Sourcing) Partners, hiring managers, and business leaders to develop and deliver recruiting strategies to hire amazing talent into Alexion. The Recruiting Partner will be responsible for managing relationships and driving the hiring process across various functions (e.g. Corporate Functions, R&D, Commercial, and Global Operations), with their work and input directly influencing Alexion's ability to meet its near and longer-term strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for:
Partner with hiring managers to thoroughly understand Alexion's near-term goals and longer-term strategic priorities; build comprehensive talent sourcing strategies and robust hiring plans to meet resulting hiring, workforce/talent and capability needs
Develop recruiting goals and strategies for defined functions and hold all participants in the sourcing and hiring process accountable for their respective roles
Perform full-cycle recruiting for various functions, including sourcing, assessment, selection, offer negotiation, and on-boarding
Develop, implement and manage a thoughtful candidate and employee experience
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders by proactively gathering and maintaining market insights and competitive intelligence related to talent and the competitive biopharmaceutical talent landscape; develop methods to share competitive intelligence to inform managers, leaders and colleagues' talent management and talent acquisition efforts
Develop strong and effective partnerships with all cross-functional HR colleagues, including People and Culture Partners/HR Partners, HR shared services and Total Rewards
Develop, enhance and execute on Alexion's attraction and employer and recruitment branding efforts; build awareness for and a sense of excitement about Alexion, as an employer, leader and innovator in rare disease and differentiate as the most rewarding company to work for
Maintain candidate and appropriate recruiting status data across recruiting systems (ATS, CRM)
Establish and utilize recruiting reports, metrics and analytics to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the recruiting process as well as to identify trends, manage performance and measure TA effectiveness, and enhance the efficiency and quality of the hiring process
Identify and champion new and innovative approaches to diversity, inclusion and belonging talent attraction and sourcing, ensuring these are integrated into all employer branding and sourcing efforts
You will need to have:
Proven ability to influence, guide and drive the recruiting and hiring process
Able to provide thought leadership for talent, talent capabilities and talent acquisition to TA and HR colleagues as well as hiring managers, hiring teams and business leaders at all levels
Solid business acumen and understanding of how great talent impacts the business's strategy and objectives
Proven success at building strong credible advisory relationships at all levels of the organization
Authenticity, integrity and values consistent with Alexion's core values, patient-centric mission and leadership behaviors
Self-motivated recruiting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, often ambiguous environment
Strong judge of talent; proven ability to assess talent and ability to articulate candidates' strengths and limitations, values and motivators
Demonstrated experience with all aspects of the sourcing and recruiting process, with the willingness/capability to be both hands-on and consultative
The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
8+ years' talent acquisition, talent discovery and/or sourcing experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Knowledge of talent trends, relevant labor laws and legislation
Ability to effectively manage external search partners, as needed; manage vendor relationships and performance
