TK Elevator is seeking a Manager - Technical Publications in Atlanta, GA.

The Technical Publications Manager is responsible for driving the strategic direction of technical publications initiatives and ensuring that these are in alignment with the needs of the Field and business. This includes providing direction and oversight for technical content development, management, and distribution.

Essential Job Functions


  • Direct and support the Technical Publications department on content requirements, deliverables, maintenance and distribution; which includes product, installation, and service manuals; technical bulletins; Code and related field documentation.

  • Manage Technical Publications department and provide direction on goals, priorities, and expectations, including improvement and standardization of processes and workflow.

  • Provide direction for content management strategies and support of internal technical document delivery platforms.

  • Review deliverables, processes, and workflows periodically for quality purposes; ensure that Technical Development processes and workflow meet Quality/QMS requirements; ensure that ITS documents are compliant with TKE requirements.

  • Work closely with TKE Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and other cross-functional teams and SME's for content development, project management, and delivery of various technical documents types for the Field organization.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in English, Communications, Business or equivalent experience with many courses taken in technical writing and project management

  • At least 8 years proven technical writing experience

  • At least 2 years technology experience, including electro-mechanical products

  • At least 6 years project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience/Knowledge in a number of the following:

  • Training/Documentation-specific skills: Gap / needs analysis

  • Content Management (web-based, SharePoint or other)

  • Editing (5 Levels)

  • Common Documentation workflows and processes

  • Common development applications:

  • MS Project / Excel

  • MS PowerPoint

  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

  • Adobe FrameMak Adobe Captivate

  • Adobe Premiere

  • HTML/CSS/XML
