The Administrative Assistant III role is in our Cornea dept, Full Time with benefits, M-F Days at our Main Campus. We offer 50% off the MBTA pass.

With minimal direction from Manager or Director, The Administrative Assistant III is critical to the department and works independently to support physicians in a high-volume ambulatory clinic setting, functioning as the primary interface between patients and providers. Also provides leadership and guidance to other MAAs. Emphasis is placed on the ability to stay organized and to prioritize administrative tasks related to patient care. Role requires management of confidential patient information, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones with the highest level of customer service, checking patients in and out of appointments, collecting copayments, scheduling surgeries and other ancillary services, and helping to manage incoming information via phone, email, in person and via Epic

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Requires 5 years of experience in a medical administrative position within a busy medical service/department.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for the telephone, email and in person interaction with patients and medical staff

  • Exceptional organizational skills required and ability to provide exceptional care to dedicated work
