The Risk, Patient Safety, and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing patient complaints and providing administrative support in a professional and competent manner for Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Regulatory Compliance functions as well as overseeing general office management for the department.
This position reports to the Director, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Regulatory Compliance and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
High school diploma required; Associate's degree and/or three (3) to five (5) years administrative assistant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred
Experience in health care or legal field and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Demonstrated proficiency utilizing computer hardware and software applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), document conversion applications, and document inputting devices, such as a scanner, required
Evidence of good writing, editing, and the ability to capture and present comprehensive meeting minutes with strong attention to detail required
Strong customer service skills and interpersonal interactions, an ability to handle difficult and angry people constructively, and the ability to use tact, judgment and diplomacy required
Ability to work in conjunction with staff in a supportive way to troubleshoot and resolve issues required
Proficiency in use of essential office equipment required
