Job Description:

In the Section of Clinical Sciences within the Division of Rheumatology, Inflammation and Immunity, the grant coordinator will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks including grant proposal submissions, financial tasks and operational tasks. Covers letters for this position are strongly encouraged.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



• Coordinates grant proposal preparation, working with principal investigators and grant administration staff, as well as other personnel and institutions included on the proposal. The coordinator will assist with preparing detailed budgets and justifications, creating proposal records and entering grant application materials in sponsor forms and websites.


• Gathers materials for just-in-time requests as well progress reports.


• Acts as liaison between principal investigators and the central Research Management pre-award administrator during grant proposal submissions, just-in-time and progress report submissions.


• Maintains up to date faculty biosketches and other support pages, ensuring compliance with institutional and federal requirements.


• Assists with post-award grant management including financial monitoring, projections and invoicing sponsors.


• Processes faculty reimbursements, orders supplies and submits invoices for payment, ensuring BWH compliance requirements are followed.


• Assists with administrative director with operational tasks such as sponsored staff on-boarding and renewals, timekeeping and event coordination, as well as other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:


•Bachelor's Degree.


•0-2 years of related experience.


SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:


• Excellent communication, computer, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


• Careful attention to detail and the ability to multi-task for critical.


• Ability to work well under pressure and under deadlines.


• Ability to work independently as well as well as in a team setting.


• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.


WORKING CONDITIONS:


This role is primarily performed onsite in a normal office environment where there are no discomforts due to extreme temperature, dust, and the like.
