General Summary



Under the guidance of the Program Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the MGB-wide quality performance measurement activities with a focus on external (commercial and government) payor performance reporting, risk arrangements and the tools used by the MGB network of physician practices to track and improve the quality of care delivered to patients.


The Project Manager will manage multiple projects, with her/his primary role to provide leadership and staff support to monitor and report quality performance on MGB's external Ambulatory Quality programs.



Duties & Responsibilities



  • Create effective, actionable reports using Excel/Power Query, Tableau, QlikView or similar analytic software packages to track, evaluate and report on external Ambulatory Quality results

  • Work with a variety of tools (ex: SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Qlikview, etc) to access data, create and run reports related to quality performance.

  • Responsible for analyzing data, formulating recommendations and creating materials (reports, PowerPoint, graphs, tables) to present to a variety of audiences

  • Develop and manage all aspects of projects including scope, requirements, project plans, communication, and issue resolution

  • Present updates, findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders/leaders as needed for assigned projects.

  • Work with the DAO and the contracting team to understand the role of quality performance in external contracts, the methodologies used for measurement and the required documentation for annual ambulatory quality settlement.

  • Support day to day activities for ambulatory quality reporting requirements in MGB external risk arrangements (i.e. understand measures and targets, financial risk, monitor performance and lead operations for settlement)

  • Work closely with program leadership to support external payer planning, negotiation and settlement activities

  • Responsible for the QA and monitoring of ambulatory quality performance tools and reports (i.e. registries and analytic subject area mart)

  • Ensure accurate and up to date documentation of all ambulatory quality measurement

  • Establish contacts and strong working relationships with clinical and administrative leaders across MGB entities.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of current evidence-based guidelines, national trends and best practices in quality measurement.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Possible local travel to Regional Service Organization sites.

  • This position is hybrid with some onsite requirement in Somerville, MA






Qualifications

Qualifications



  • BS/BA with 3+ years experience

  • Minimum 1 year SQL experience required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in detailed analytics and reporting, preferably in healthcare.

  • Strong organizational and project management experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Experience with HEDIS, quality measurement and commercial and government payor experience a plus.

  • Strong PC / Microsoft application skills including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.


Skills/Competencies



  • Strong quantitative, analytical and technical skills relating to data management, analysis and presentation (experience analyzing and manipulating data sets and creating effective presentations).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Solid understanding of the health care environment, quality program experience preferred

  • Ability to effectively plan and facilitate meetings and workgroups.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and manage to schedule.

  • High degree of initiative along with ability to act as a team player.

  • Ability to develop effective relationships with a broad array of people (different levels of management and clinical experts).
