Role Summary



Full Time, 40 hours per week M-F days, benefits eligible role at our Main Campus. We offer 50% off the MBTA pass.


This role is vital to the department and patient experience. We strive to provide an exceptional patient experience at Mass. Eye and Ear.


With minimal direction from Manager or Director, The Medical Admin Assistant III works independently to support physicians in a high-volume ambulatory clinic setting, functioning as the primary interface between patients and providers. Also provides leadership and guidance to other Medical Admin colleagues. Emphasis is placed on the ability to stay organized and to prioritize administrative tasks related to patient care.


This role requires management of confidential patient information, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones with the highest level of customer service, checking patients in and out of appointments, collecting copayments, scheduling surgeries and other ancillary services, and helping to manage incoming information via phone, email and in person. This is a fast paced patient facing role.

Qualifications

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • 5 years of experience in a medical administrative position within a busy medical service/department.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for the telephone, email and in person interactions with patients and colleagues

  • Exceptional organizational skills
