The Administrative Imaging Specialist is responsible for completing administrative tasks for our high volume ancillary department. Tasks include managing registration/patient check-in for several modalities, answering calls, updating registration information, uploading documents to the EMR as well as various additional tasks related to patient care and the overall operations of the department.



The individual will work closely with other team members to ensure positive patient experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills in a healthcare environment and be an effective communicator.



Qualifications

Experience Minimum Required
• Minimum of two years

Experience Preferred/Desired
• Secretarial experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience with Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology.

Education Minimum Required
• High School with secretarial courses, computer skills

Education Preferred/Desired
• AS in secretarial science or business

Special Skills Minimum Required
• Must be proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Presenting a calm, professional manner.
• Requires the knowledge and ability to utilize various computer and on-line applications.
• Offer exemplary internal and external customer relations.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• The knowledge of medical terminology.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
