General Summary



Under the general direction of Quality and Patient Experience (QPE) clinical and administrative leadership, the Project Specialist will assist with the day to day operations for monitoring primary care quality performance by utilizing the tools used by MGB's primary care practices to track and improve the quality of care delivered to patients. The Project Specialist will also provide support to the broader QPE Performance and Analytics team (i.e., behavioral health, pediatrics, external contract management) on a variety of program initatives and will provide project support to the system-wide primary care performance monitoring program.



Duties & Responsibilities



  • Support the Performance and Analytics Program Managers in creating effective, actionable reports for distribution using Excel/Power Query, Tableau or similar analytic software packages to monitor, evaluate and report on internal and external Primary Care Quality Programs.

  • Work with a variety of tools (ex: Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc) to access data and create ad hoc reporting related to quality performance.

  • Responsible for creating effective PowerPoint presentations.

  • Provide project support to the activities related to the primary care quality performance and the on-going monitoring of progress.

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, project and operational activities to support the Primary Care, including but not limited to, the preparation of meeting agendas, documenting key decisions, and collaborating with team.

  • Develop effective relationships and collaborate with local quality teams, QPE leadership, network leaders, physician leaders, and MGB staff.

  • Present ideas, concepts, policies, programs, data and analysis to various central and local audiences to build consensus on QPE initiatives in collaboration with program leadership.

  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and communication of key data to ensure that QPE achieves and maintains the best possible outcomes.

  • Escalate and at times respond to issues raised by stakeholders.

  • Assist with special projects on behalf of QPE management.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Minimal travel to Regional Service Organizations (RSOs), practices and hospitals within network.

  • Position is hybrid, with primary remote work and some in office requirement, as needed. Professional office setting located in Assembly Row, Somerville, MA.






Qualifications

Qualifications



  • Bachelors degree with 1-3+ years experience.

  • Experience with PC / Microsoft applications including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint required.

  • Strong quantitative and technical skills relating to data management.

  • Experience providing project management support required, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Experience in quality improvement activities preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize and resolve critical issues efficiently and effectively with guidance.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and manage to schedule.

  • Some experience using quantitative, analytical, and technical skills relating to data management, analysis, and presentation.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with delivering presentations.

  • Experience with planning and facilitating meetings and workgroups

  • High degree of initiative along with ability to act as a team player.

  • Ability to develop effective relationships with a broad array of people (different levels of management)
