Under the general supervision of the Chief of Police and Security, this position will report to the Operations Manager. Responsible for the planning and management of security Access control system system installations including the preparation of price quotes, project time frames for the same. Responsible for installing, servicing and maintaining all components of the Integrated Security Systems, including, but not limited to, electronic security panels, filed devices such as door hardware, card readers and contacts, Stand-alone systems, Panic Alarms, Magnetic Locking devices, and CCTV / IP cameras.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Plant Operations, Project Management, Information Services, outside contractors and hospital tenants to coordinate system requirements, resources and system delivery dates.
Estimates cost and produces quotes for all new security systems installations and system expansions.
Manage price quotes,parts ordering, installation, programming, system upgrades, maintenance and repairs functions. Monitors estimated job costs vs. actual installation costs.
Estimates staffing requirements for all new security systems installations and system expansions.
Sequences all outstanding installation work to best meet tenant requirements utilizing existing resources. Recommends staffing requirements based on backlog of work.
Serve as a liaison to vendors for anything pertainin to the Job requirements. Assist departments with proposals for security system installations. Monitor estimated job costs vs. actual installation costs; modify job-estimating procedure to maximize hospital savings.
Develops and maintains a set of installation standards compliant with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and AAADM all applicable local codes and the requirements of adequate security for hospital employees, patients and visitors. Ensures compliance with all applicable standards and code requirements. Ensure compliance with all Infection control Guidelines
Install, assist with programming, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair electronic security access control and
alarm monitoring panels and Low Voltage power supplies.
Required: 5+ years of experience in a similar role with intimate knowledge of Security Access Control systems, Automatic doors, Electronic door hardware, physical door hardware.
Knowledge of AMAG, Completeview and HUGS Security systems
Preferred: Knowledge of Completeview, Symmetry (AMAG) and HUGS software and systems.
Preferred: Lynx Wireless Security system
High School Education, GED or equivalent or vocational school.
Licensure, Certifications, or Registration:
Preferred: Security Low voltage installer license. Current Driver's License
