Incumbent will maintain and handle account status for Mass General Brigham's highest volume and most crucial vendor accounts as prioritized by the Corporate Manager of Supply Chain Operations Support to ensure AR/AP is current.
As a singular role within the Mass General Brigham Supply Chain Operations Support department, incumbent must solely maintain the workload, and perform the duties represented in this position. Should the Supply Chain Major Accounts Specialist be unavailable, it will be the duty of the incumbent to make certain that the work load, which accumulated in the absence, does not interfere with the achievement of the primary goal of the position, providing timely responses and maintaining positive account statuses.
Incumbent will create and maintain a schedule for interaction with major account vendors with the ability to custom tailor these interactions to the specific needs of each vendor account. These interactions will be a mix of scheduled and unscheduled email and phone call interactions.
Incumbent will work extensively with sophisticated functions and components of Microsoft Excel to perform complex data analysis and provide clear and concise data analysis results to major account vendors and management.
When vital, in addition to standard communications, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying and presenting with high level representatives of major account vendors to resolve sophisticated billing issues.
If major account vendors dispute invoice amounts paid per contracted pricing, it will be the responsibility of the Major Accounts Specialist to resolve the validity of the pricing paid, and provide issue resolution appropriately.
Incumbent will, when vital analyze and update Accounts Payable and Purchasing system information to ensure the correct and timely payment of vendor invoices, and will communicate directly the Contract Management Group and ensure vendor products are correctly represented within Mass General Brigham's online requisition system.
Incumbent will employ time leadership skills and prioritize an immense work flow. With little or no supervisory intervention the Major Accounts Specialist will dedicate time and resources appropriately to a large volume of differing issues, varying in complexity to ensure that timely communication and problem resolution is provided to all major account vendors, and internal contacts.
