POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Growth Manager, Industries manages and implements full-funnel strategies to drive new client acquisition, sales funnel velocity and client advocacy with the overall goal to increase CBIZ's market share in specific industry verticals. Taking strategic direction from industry leaders and reporting to corporate marketing, the Manager owns verticals' brands, program executions, audiences and content marketing plans. The Manager excels at and takes pride in managing projects from humble beginnings to successful ends and also knows how to turn an expert's idea into actionable messaging.
Primary responsibilities include (% = strategy focus):
Strategy & Project Management (50%)
Mobilize and scale go-to-market strategies serving as point of contact for all planning, executions and measurement.
Manage coordination and timely execution of cross-functional projects, including setting, tracking and meeting deadlines, facilitating communication between project team leaders, and bringing project teams together into a cohesive whole.
Maximize all industry-related vendor partnerships - from trade shows to digital ad placements.
Specifically partner with demand generation specialist on programs that turn go-to-market strategies, content marketing, etc. into qualified leads for sales teams to engage.
Brand & Content Marketing (50%)
Develop short- to medium-form content in partnership with industry subject matter experts.
Partner with copywriters, designers and subject matter experts to create long-form thought leadership.
Develop editorial strategy and maintain content marketing calendar.
Follow and share external industry trends, internal marketing metrics, competitive insights and buyer needs.
Lead brand projects in both digital outlets and physical collateral to support sales team efforts.
Demonstrated ability to move people and projects towards success using influence and project management strategies, tools.
Proven track record of creating public-facing short- and medium-form content (i.e., email copy, blog posts, etc.).
Experience with and examples of integrated marketing campaign implementation.
Ability to be intellectually creative, strong in process execution, data-driven, and in-tune with sales and marketing alignment.
While not working towards an assigned revenue goal, the desire to win, succeed and outperform the competition is an intrinsic quality that will create success and align with the team's culture.
Effective verbal communication skills to drive internal communication throughout all levels of organization.
Ability to use digital publishing tools (i.e., Canva, etc.) to scale a message when necessary
Awareness of CRMs and marketing automation systems ability to align marketing and sales teams.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree (marketing, journalism, communications, etc.) required with 6 years of increasingly responsible marketing experience preferred
Demonstrate strong interaction with public providing exemplary customer service
Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Demonstrate autonomy in problem recognition and resolution
Proficient use of applicable technology
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
