Position Summary:

SomaLogic is seeking a?Manager, Corporate Applications?to join the IT team and work closely with business partners, security, enterprise architecture, application solutions leadership, and senior leadership across core business units to fold into one central team an array of decentralized corporate (COTS) systems utilized by corporate functions, including HRIS and intranet platforms. The Manager will lead an effort for a strategic HRIS platform and ensure SOX-compliance for key corporate systems. The role includes collaborating with internal and vendor teams to ensure excellence in operations, compliance, road-mapping solutions, and maximized ROI on cost and licenses.

The Manager shall build a solid rapport with key business stakeholders establishing a transparent and trusted model that ensures strong prioritization and rapid respond to stakeholder’s plans and company goals. The Manager shall lead a small team to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise vision with the fortitude and proven ability to drive action through results to accomplish that vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Corporate Applications team, primarily consolidating and centralized an array of systems, including HRIS, into one team
  • Work with the business owner(s) in Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Customer & Technical Support to identify and prioritize projects, requirements, and enhancement requests
  • Manage the request backlog and partner with the other IT teams to address patches and upgrade schedule and deliver appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure appropriate end-to-end architectures and integrations are implemented
  • Perform the owner role for the applications, ensuring overall health and effectiveness of the platforms
  • Maintain knowledge of the systems and each platform’s future direction
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture to ensure technical standards are defined and implemented
  • Work with Regulatory and Security groups to ensure compliance and security requirements are implemented and followed, particularly SOX
  • Provide mentoring, career development and coaching for small team members
  • Identify and track appropriate system and team metrics KPIs
  • Assist IT management with budget and forecast planning
  • Partner with vendors to ensure accurate license models and license forecasting
  • Effectively communicate status to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Promote culture of continuous improvement

Education?and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, a technology infused business concentration, or other technology related majors
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate application roles in midsized to large companies
  • Experience with production launch readiness and cloud-based or SaaS models
  • Experience with Agile Release Management and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Knowledge,?Skills?and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated mastery in managing corporate applications and platforms
  • Strong knowledge of corporate-related business capabilities and processes
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships and building consensus with diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels (managers, individual contributors, department heads, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups; ability to manage conflict to resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience managing and coordinating external resources (contractors and service providers)
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver enterprise level services in dynamic, mid-market growth companies; must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive toward clarity
  • Ability to create positive and high-performance work cultures
  • Prefer experience in a regulated environment, such as biotechnology, healthcare, or aerospace
  • Experience with compliance frameworks including SOX, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI

Work preference is near Boulder, CO
