This position can be based remotely in the following states: CO, ID, MT, NM, UT, WY.

Essential responsibilities



  • Under close supervision, investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles homeowner's property/personal property claims, including adjustment to conclusion; involves low- to middle complexity claims; is the owning adjuster for all claims assigned.

  • Acquires and records first notice of loss.

  • Concludes and notifies of all applicable coverage for the loss.

  • Arranges all emergency services required to protect the property from further harm and accommodates the needs of the insured.

  • In territories without field staff, reviews and adjusts contractor estimates.

  • Analyzes applicable state policies and endorsements to decide appropriate coverage.

  • Recognizes and prepares files for subrogation.




What would make us excited about you



  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1 or more years of desk adjusting complex claims required.

  • Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures and home construction required

  • Homeowner claims or general construction experience with an emphasis on homeowner claims preferred.

  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to type 30 words per minute.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of Xactimate repair estimating system a plus.

  • Ability to acquire regulatory adjusting license in the states where required.

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada. If performed in Nevada, this position has a(n) salary range of $28.40 - $33.41.



In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has an hourly range of $ $27.02 - $31.78 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
