Royal Credit Union is adding an Organizational Talent Advisor II to the growing Talent Services Team.  This role serves as a strategic human resources business partner responsible to support team members and consult with leadership as the subject matter expert in the areas of talent acquisition (recruitment), team member relations, and performance management.   This role works collaboratively within the HR team and cross functionally to create an environment that enables team members, and the organization, to reach their maximum potential.



 



As an Organizational Talent Advisor II, you will:




  • Provide full cycle recruitment support to leaders for all positions which includes creating job postings, screening resumes, conducting phone pre-screens, scheduling in-person interviews, conducting reference and background checks, making wage recommendations, and extending employment offers.



  • Source candidates through various methods such as internal and external networking, professional associations, relationship building, social media marketing, and online technology tools to build a strong pipeline for mission critical roles



  • Promote and market Royal’s talent brand through a variety of channels including, but not limited to, social media or other online initiatives, community events, student groups, and job/career fairs



  • Support leaders across all levels of the organization through a variety of employee relations topics, some of which are complex in nature (e.g. performance management, promotions/demotions, internal transfers, terminations, policy interpretation and administration, COVID-19 guidance) toward effective resolution that is consistent with Royal Credit Union’s culture, policies, and procedures



 



Work Schedule and Office Location:



This full-time, exempt position will be based in Royal’s metro region working onsite in White Bear Lake as well as remote if certain criteria are met.  Work hours will generally be Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the need to provide Royal’s leadership group support after-hours occasionally.  Periotic travel to Royal’s branches and our Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI will be required.



 



Required Education/Experience/Skills:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field with concentrated coursework in Human Resources or equivalent in human resources job experience


  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a strategic HR partner within an organization with the ability to administer and write policies, recruit and identify top talent, and provide guidance to leaders about team member situations


  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, digital and social media recruiting platforms and participating in departmental and corporate level projects


  • Expert level understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and moderate understanding of Outlook, PowerPoint, and One Note


  • HR Certificate (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred, but not required


  • Self-directed and organized. Exercises conscious control of time on specific activities to manage or increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. Recognizes priority level of responsibilities and delivers accordingly. Manages interruption and changing priorities.


  • Ability to makes things happen; delivers on projects, tasks, and commitments, and produces results. Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement. Takes responsibility for decisions, regardless of whether the outcomes are successful, and expects and overcomes obstacles


  • History of making sound, fact-based decisions, even under pressure or when faced with ambiguity, consulting with others when appropriate


  • Tactful handling of sensitive employment situations, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence to skillfully interact with team members at all levels of the organization who have a wide range of experiences and backgrounds


  • Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture


 



Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:




  • Five (5) to seven (7) years HR experience within a team environment


  • Project experience


  • HR Certificate (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
