Kforce is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Engineer for a client in Addison, TX. The BI Data Engineer provides data from the enterprise data warehouse and various data sources to data scientists within Client and external to Client. You will serve as a liaison between company and external client companies to build predictive analytic models.
Essential Functions:
BI Data Engineer will focus on end-to-end data collection, intake, and processing
Create processes and frameworks for complicated data science projects across distributed systems
Serve as a liaison between the BI Team and other entities who consume BI owned data
As a BI Data Engineer, you will implement, maintain, and populate analytics databases
Work with pipelines, tune databases for efficient analysis and create table schemas using ETL methods
Partner closely with the BI Data Architect and BI ETL Developers to become a subject matter expert (SME) for BI data
Ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targets
BI Data Engineers collaborate with other team members in creating optimal, maintainable, and scalable MicroStrategy reporting solutions
Contribute to the database design collaborating with Data Analysts and Data Modelers
Perform analysis & development to create MicroStrategy schema objects, reports & dashboards
Provide support for all phases of testing such as integration and user acceptance
Generate appropriate unit test plans and assure quality of work

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience
In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
Customarily has at least three or more years of experience Developing software processes, Data Modeling, and Data Governance, and relational databases
Customarily has at least three or more years of experience with documentation and publication
Customarily has at least one or more years of MS SQL Server Stack experience, particularly is SSIS and ETL tools
Exposure to Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, NoSQL, Postgres RDBMs
Exposure to Python, r, Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Google Analytics, SAS, SPSS
