Arconic has an exciting role open as the Global Director, Marketing & Customer Service for AEX. This role is responsible for developing global strategies, implementing plans for the commercial division of AEX, and oversees the sales and marketing teams.
Main Activities:
Developing and implementing global strategic market plans for extrusions, tubing, and rod/bar sold into the Commercial Aircraft, Regional Aircraft, Business Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Space/Missile/Ordnance, as well as the Industrial and Automotive markets. This position is responsible for the management of a 20 person commercial organization.
Developing and implementing the AEX Commercial Plan, understanding and driving critical actions and overall market evolution for the Extrusions Business
Activities include, but are not limited to, contract negotiations, pricing, customer need identification, competitor analysis, product development and planning, market research/forecasting, and promotion.
Must effectively work with a variety of sales, manufacturing, and other business unit personnel in support of Arconic Extrusions organization goals and objectives.
The position is responsible for customer satisfaction relative to the delivery of our products, information, scheduling, quotations, samples, literature and other related customer request. The position also assists in the collection and analysis of territorial sales and regional market data as required, and helps in the preparation of presentation materials as required.
This position is accountable to provide systems implementation, training, support and supervision for the Inside Sales Staff and Marketing Team Staff to support organizational objectives. This position will manage those Inside Sales and Marketing Teams in their focus on the AEX customer base, which has 2022 AEX Plan revenues of $500 million annually.
The incumbent is a member of the Aerospace and Defense Task Force, whose membership includes representatives from Extrusions, NPD&I, Sales, and Mill Products.

Expertise in developing contract strategies and negotiating contracts that meet Business Units goals and objectives

Working knowledge of financial analysis and planning tools
Working knowledge of aerospace alloys, characteristics, technical attributes, etc
Coordinate customer requested schedules with manufacturing plants' production planning, and manage Inside Sales day-to-day liaisons with customers involving orders, releases and support services
Manage plant inventories held in external warehouses
Resolution of customer credits and past due invoices
Coordinate the compliance of our customers to purchase orders and supply agreements
Manage systems to allow costing, pricing, quoting of all extrusion RFQs, and proper review and order entry of all corresponding extrusion orders
Maintain systems to provide proper authorizations of high value quotes prior to sending to customers, and of all contracts prior to signatures
Supervise and Develop AEX Marketing Managers as experts in their individual flowpath/segments including capabilities, costs, competitors, and market dynamics
Coordinate and present monthly forecasts of volumes, revenues, and margins by flowpath at all AEX plants for the operations teams
Supervise all activities, initiatives, responsibilities, training, and performance of the Inside Sales Staff and the Marketing Staff
Maintain a standard process for Carma/Credit transactions including monthly decisions on income statement adjustments and accruals
Provide the necessary business metrics each month to the business leadership team
Oversee contract review capability and ensure compliance, as well as ensuring audit responsiveness
Ensure transaction capability for handling government orders and international sales, including all required export documentation
Manage all budget activity associated with the Inside Sales and Marketing Teams
Coordinate Administrative Sales and Marketing support, including collation of sales and market data, and the preparation of presentation materials
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Technical understanding of commercial aircraft structure (to include manufacturing, construction, and assembly)
Technical understanding of Aerospace aluminum alloys, tempers, and aluminum extrusion process
10 years of experience in Aerospace-focused Commercial Role (Sales or Marketing)
