Assists the Physician(s) and others providing direct patient care in the ambulatory Specialty Clinic settings of Orthopedic Clinic, Women's Healthcare Clinic, Pain Clinic, Surgical Clinic, and Outreach Clinics. Rooms patients and takes vital signs. Documents appropriate observations in the electronic medical record. Acts as a liaison between physician and patient. The position will primarily workdays 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, no weekends. Hours are subject to change based on department needs.
Requirements: Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Current licensure (LPN) or certification as a CMA or willingness to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Clinic experience preferred. BLS and/or willingness to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
