What you will be doing: 




  • Facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of all owned building structures and the rented spaces in accordance with Lease requirements. Utilize working knowledge of all mechanical systems.


  • Lead Administrative Services staff, ensuring each individual is appropriately trained and skilled in the tasks they perform.

  • Execute scheduling and establish performance standards; measure and document accordingly.

  • Maintain the supply inventory and coordinate the distribution of items accordingly to all locations.

  • Coordinate mail system activities ensuring effective collection, distribution, and tracking when appropriate.

  • Negotiate vendor terms, address contractual/lease issues, review and remit invoices, prepare and manage relevant budget line items.

  • Ensure appropriate maintenance of security/emergency systems including all relevant policies and procedures.

  • Flexible work hours covering late night and weekend hours as needed.

What we need from you:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field is required OR a combination of education and experience to meet the necessary skill level of the position.

  • Hands-on experience/knowledge in repairs and preventative maintenance of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and carpentry, and locksmith repairs.

  • 8+ years work experience in a management role directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above and managing a staff of five.

  • Experience with purchasing, maintenance systems, and project contract administration is a plus!

  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of facility management and safety standards.

  • Strong computer proficiency skills with emphasis on knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)

  • A valid NY driver’s license is required.
