What we do:

The Wholesale Product Office (WPO) is responsible for the management, operation, support and development of wholesale services (Fedwire Funds Service, Fedwire Securities Service and National Settlement Service), which includes developing new services, service enhancements, and pricing models, and ensuring the technology used to deliver the wholesale services is secure, resilient, and satisfies business requirements. The WPO carries out our mission through teams operating out of the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Minneapolis, and a network of essential Reserve Bank service providers. 

Our team is responsible for the operation and administration of distributed payments systems supporting the high-value, high-availability Fedwire businesses in our Depository Institution Testing Environment (DIT). We ensure Wholesale Services are available according to their business requirements while providing premium customer service to the Federal Reserve System districts and other application users.

Youmust be able to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. The Federal Reserve Bank has implemented social distancing, mask wearing, temperature checks, and other related protocols to keep you safe in light of the current pandemic situation. 

Your role as a Testing Support Analyst:


  • Monitor the DIT Fedwire Applications and Operating Systems including the completion of the daily checklist of activities which are critical in meeting the Service availability target for customer processing.


  • Actively identify and resolve issues, share operation activity, and escalate accordingly to management.


  • Contribute to the analysis and reporting on testing problems and operational issues.


  • Assist with projects, work group initiatives, and developing operational/technical procedures.


  • Help draft internal technical test scripts and checklists for multiple Fedwire applications in the DIT.


What we are looking for:


  • Associates degree in business or computer technology, or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.


  • Three years of experience in technical operations to include customer service.


  • A base knowledge of critical production environments and payment systems. Knowledge of Fedwire business is highly desirable.


  • Experience with distributed computer processes and environments.


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.


  • Proven ability to think clearly and remain calm when confronted with critical operational issues.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to share operation activity and business status with area management and appropriate stake holders.


  • Advanced proficiency using standard business applications and software.


  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


  • Ability to interact with a variety of staff and management and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
