JOB SUMMARY

Medline has an opportunity available for a Sr. Marketing Manager within our Sterile Procedure Trays division at our Northfield, IL Corporate office! Under minimal supervision the Sr. Marketing Manager designs, develops and implements marketing programs, and plans promotions for various market segments. They also provide marketing direction and guidance to product divisions and sales based on market insights. In addition, they lead projects and serve as a mentor to the marketing team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Design, develop, and implement marketing programs, promotions and integrated campaigns in support of key Ambulatory Surgery Center sales initiatives.


  • Provide marketing guidance and direction to product divisions on product positioning, messaging and development of sales tools in support of annual acute care sales incentive promotional program and sales meeting training.


  • Analyze budgets and financials for all measureable tasks in marketing to assist the VP in identifying areas of opportunity and growth versus areas/activities that are not producing results.


  • Research, analyze and share key acute care insights and expertise on customer, competition, market and industry insights with sales, marketing and product divisions


  • Lead the development and "go to market" strategies and plans for new cross-divisional acute care solutions.


  • Provide support to the sales organization on the development of major acute care sales incentive program; provide ongoing analysis and plans based on program performance.


  • Lead the planning and ongoing management of acute care content on Medline's company website.


  • Lead and manage the process of vetting new products/concepts with customers through the acute care sales force and through direct customer meetings in the field.


  • Develop and manage the acute care sales rep communications editorial plan in conjunction with corporate communications.


  • Produce and give high quality customer presentations.


  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience


  • At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).

  • Experience understanding customer needs/priorities and skills to use that insight to develop innovative and effective marketing programs that generate sales.

  • Experience communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
