This position is responsible for managing the finished goods purchase orders for Medline's distributed and domestic supply chains. This position will work directly with Product Divisions, Operations, Information Services, and Customer Service to ensure MRP and ATP dates are maintained to ensure maximum service levels while minimizing inventory. This position will directly manage Purchasing Coordinators to ensure departmental processes are being executed and divisional goals are being met.
Responsibilities:
Provide direction to Purchasing Coordinators on MRP and ATP date maintenance. Analyze and escalate inventory and backorder issues. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of team members meet standards.
Manage communication between Purchasing Coordinators, Buyers, Vendors, Inbound transportation, and Information Services.
Recommend and communicate to senior management vendor and order management issues impacting MRP and ATP dates.
Manage departmental EDI onboarding priorities with remote and local Information Services EDI teams, escalating high priority issues when necessary.
Continually work to improve order management processes to keep up with increasing purchase order volume and customer needs.
Coordinate with internal partners (Customer Service, Transportation, Branch Operations) to ensure goals are met and customers are satisfied.
Regularly communicate with remote team leads and managers to ensure process comprehension and consistent output.
Develop and mentor local and remote staff members through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
Relevant Experience
5 years' experience in Supply Chain
Experience applying knowledge of MRP, EDI, process improvement, buying, and order management
At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
