Specialty Metal Products is seeking a safety conscious, individual with a desire to work in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operates blender, heavy gauge reduction line, soak furnaces, NX line, and performs powder processing per established work instructions. 2. Starts and shuts down furnaces according to standard operating practices. Brings furnaces to established temperature and adjusts Nitrogen and Hydrogen flows to appropriate levels for different alloys. 3. This position will be cross trained to be qualified to operate the compaction mill. 4. Performs quality checks to insure product meets internal and customer specifications using various measuring devices. 5. Completes all required paperwork. 6. Performs training for other operators, as needed. 7. Performs all safety and quality checks on the equipment and perform required preventive maintenance and other maintenance as required. 8. Must be able to perform multiple functions on a daily basis. 9. Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
