Job Purpose:


 


The Data Insights Analyst (DIA) will be a data “guru” responsible for all aspects of auditing, analyzing, reconciling, processing, and troubleshooting reported sales from authorized MHA Wholesalers and Distributors. The DIA will resolve all issues regarding missing data and discrepancies in a timely manner and ensure data is uploaded into MHA’s internal systems to assist in the tracking of sales. The DIA will work closely with external and internal teams to help implement process improvements that positively impact efficiencies in the overall data reporting process. 


 


The DIA will be responsible for coordinating operational tasks with MHA’s business partners and internal teams supported by the Data & Reconciliation team.  The main goal of the DIA is to oversee the data processes and activities of the data team. The DIA is also responsible for the training and development of the data team in order to assist in building organization talent.


 


An essential part of this position is the development and maintenance of department Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help drive the strategy of the MHA Ops teams. The DIA will coordinate with MHA Wholesalers & Distributors, Sales Teams, Internal Operations Teams, Talend Data Team and Trade Relations in the development of all metrics and KPIs.


 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


 



  • Daily data collection, processing, analysis, validation of the wholesaler and distributor data

  • Work with Talend (IT) team Talend is the automated ETL system in managing data rejects, duplication, manual sales data changes and other issues as well as assessing root cause and effectively communicating to Executive team and/or Company the issue, impact, fix, and preventative measures

  • Coordinate with MHA Talend team and external business partners to help implement process improvements that positively impact efficiencies in the overall data reporting process

  • Review of Corporate account sales & assessment of financial risks or impacts

  • Work closely with the Manager, Data & Reconciliation to ensure issues are properly resolved

  • Resource for other Analyst’s due to advanced skill set and knowledge of various components of the Data team

  • Perform routine audits on all trackers to ensure issues are being resolved in a timely manner between MHA operating units

  • Identify and resolve external data reporting and internal data issues in a timely manner and communication of potential financial impacts

  • Generate data audit reports to analyze and identify member eligibility and contract pricing issues, and work with internal teams and wholesalers/distributors to resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion

  • Create Metrics and KPIs to enhance the performance of Business partners

  • Develop KPIs to help drive the efficiency and productivity of the Ops team

  • Build and manage databases to consolidate feedback on audits from wholesaler/distributor

  • Produce ad hoc reports and summarize findings and trends in data, as requested by Management and other internal departments

 


Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or data sciences strongly preferred

  • 2+ years data analysis experience with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy preferred

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookup), Word, and Outlook

  • Understanding of relational databases and data mining

  • Data manipulation experience

  • Familiarity with ETL or similar applications preferred

  • Proficiency in SQL or Cognos or R applications preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, well organized and the ability to self-manage and work with minimal guidance

  • Must have good attitude, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively with Vendors and other external parties

  • Ability to comprehensively review and interpret data to ensure quality and accuracy and present it in a manner that will allow the organization to make better business decisions

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve data issues in a timely manner

  • Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and function independently

  • Professional demeanor in performing job responsibilities and when interacting with others

  • Attendance and punctuality with commitment to arrive to work on time and ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent
