Job Description:

We're actively seeking a talented Head of New Business Operations to join our Client Services Team. This role can be located in either our Lynchburg, VA office or Aliso Viejo, CA office, or 100%.

Level of position will be based on experience.

As a Director in New Business, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by directing, leading and overseeing personnel, management and operations relating to New Business,. You will fill [n existing role that sits on a team of approximately 75 people in the Life Division. Your colleagues will include Directors, AVPs and VPs of Operational areas including close coordination with Underwriting.

How you will make an impact:

• Lead and manage a team of managers and supervisors who are responsible for providing high-quality value-added services for issuing policies.


• Understand and balance the needs of various customer segments.


• Lead change management within the department to ensure focus is placed on appropriate areas by customer segment.


• Lead a staff of management to communicate VSEM and gain alignment of individual goals to division goals.


• Manage performance and expectation while providing an environment that is collaborative and engaged.


• Collaborate with other departments (i.e. Underwriting, Sales, Compliance).


• Participate in strategic and operational governance processes and make reommendations for New Business.

The experience you will bring:

• At least 10+ years of experience in Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Excellent decision-making, customer focus, and collaboration skills.


• Proven ability to leverage data to help drive decisions.


• Life Insurance experience preferred.
