JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the management, prioritizing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking maintenance activities, including repairs and routine preventive maintenance tasks for a food processing facility harvesting over 20,500 animals per day.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary contact and liaison between maintenance department and all associated ancillary departments plant-wide, i.e. USDA, food safety, operations, sanitation, and outside vendors.
Review all work order requests to determine validity and accuracy of information, collaborate with maintenance leadership to assign, and prioritize work orders.
Identify work orders requiring additional engineering review with the maintenance leadership.
Escalate maintenance issues that are identified during daily pre-op or by USDA that could interrupt production.
Data entry into the maintenance software system, spare parts, drawings, maintenance manuals.
Obtain and organize all drawings, manuals, and standardized procedures appropriate for the applicable maintenance crafts to perform the work.
Work closely and professionally with the Parts Room Manager and Maintenance Superintendents to ensure parts and equipment are readily accessible to the maintenance team.
Track operational reports to identify and communicate trends in downtime, production rates, and quality metrics.
Follow-up with facility supervisors and management to ensure that completed work assignments are turned in with improvement comments in a timely fashion.
Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports to maintenance leadership.
