Primary Job Responsibilities:
Develop and define standard bill of processes (SBOP) required to assemble drivetrain components across multiple product groups globally, with emphasis on flexibility of equipment.
Develop and define standard bill of equipment (SBOE) required to support Dana’s range of different drivetrain component requirements across multiple product groups globally, with emphasis on flexibility.
Define metrology standards for all product and process characteristics as part of the SBOP.
Work within GME group on selection of manufacturing locations and capital equipment and tooling requirements for new program inquiries.
Work within GME group to establish manufacturing footprint globally to support strategic initiatives.
Participate in design reviews for new programs and products to ensure design for manufacturing.
Lead the process to share and deploy best practices and lessons learned for assembly of drive train components across multiple product groups throughout Dana globally.
Review and approve capital plan for all global manufacturing facilities across multiple product groups, to ensure adherence to standard bill of process (SBOP) and standard bill of equipment (SBOE).
Support global manufacturing facilities on critical assembly issues such as quality problems, equipment technical support, measurement criteria, etc.
Travel as necessary to support operations globally.
Perform other assigned duties incidental to the occupation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in assembly processes and capital equipment procurement, with automotive drivetrain assembly experience preferred.
Controls experience related to developing and deploying machine control standards.
Experience in development and deployment of MES systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a fundamental understanding of statistics, as it relates to manufacturing and assembly processes.
Proficiency with blueprint interpretation and knowledgeable in GD&T.
Strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to regularly travel for extended periods both domestically and internationally.
Willingness to work extended or irregular hours to ensure that key job responsibilities are accomplished.
