Maintenance Mechanic 4

The individual is responsible for the repairs and preventive maintenance for all facilities at the resort. The role of the engineer is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues and our guests to enjoy.

• Responsible to complete guest room preventive maintenance throughout the year on a scheduled basis.
• Clean and maintain all areas throughout the property.
• Respond to guest and colleagues requests throughout the facility to make necessary repairs to accommodate the customer's needs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Required to be responsible for specified equipment and areas of responsibilities which is typically in guest rooms. This includes tasks such as replacing batteries in devices that have batteries, replacing the filter in an AC unit, cleaning the cooling coil in an AC unit, etc.
• Assist first, second, and third class engineers on a day to day duties and special projects if asked to do so by the Chief Engineer.
• Paint areas as needed.

• Basic skill in maintenance aptitude, trade mathematics and trade communications.
• Be able to push, pull and lift equipment and materials up to 50lbs.
• Skill and the use of basic hand and electrical tools.
• While some previous experience is desirable, this position does not require a specific amount of experience. Rather, it requires a desire to work in the building maintenance trades and progress as skills are learned.
